Chorale from Cantata No. 140

J. S. Bach's familiar "Chorale from Cantata No. 140 in Eb Major" was arranged & orchestrated for brass choir by Jerome Laszloffy.  Written in 1731, it's German title is "Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme" (Awake, A Voice is Calling Us).

The ensemble consists of the standard orchestral complement of brass: 3 Bb Trumpets, 4 French Horns, 3 Trombones and 1 Tuba.  Regal, serene and sonorous, this arrangement highlights the performers’ mastery of pitch, blend and dynamics.

"Chorale from Cantata No. 140 in Eb Major" is a GRADE 3 work. It's perfect for either the concert hall or church.  The duration is approximately 3:00.

The set contains 11 full-sized parts for performers and a bound, transposed conductor's score.   Available only through this website from Sound Studio Publications.

Please email us if you have any trouble with online ordering.
If additional single parts are needed, they are available for $1.00 each and only when you purchase of a full set.
